Good morning anglers,
I was able to get off the dock the last few days despite the blow on Sunday. My good friend Bob Gaffney and family invited me to come fish on their new center console. I used this to my advantage fishing numerous spots in Montauk. Alot of bait is around including sandeels, big squid, and the bluefish were chewing on 4-6 inch juvenile fish possibly porgies maybe weakfish or butterfish??. A quick stop in some sloppy conditions yeilded Bluefish up to 10 lbs. Im sure if we spent more time we would have Jigged up a couple Bass but the conditions were not faverable. We ran off in search of Fluke and we found some. In just about all the spots we went to we picked up some nice Fluke . Bob was rewarded with his personal best at 9 lbs. On a side note the Sea Bass have set up as we had numerous shorts and about a half dozon keepers which we released. It was a good day of Fishing. The bigger fish are in !
