Good morning anglers, The boat is finally out in Montauk. I was able to get a few hours of fishing in on Monday and saw very good things. Destpite cold water temperatures the south side was loaded with sandeels. We managed about a dozen short Fluke in little time and dropped a nicer fish boat side. Porgies are in great numbers trickling out of the Peconics. Bass and blues have shown up as well. With this weeks sunny and warm weather fishing should start to improve quickly. Good evening anglers,   June is approching fast and fishing is starting to heat up in Montauk. The Misty Dawn II is in the water, we are getting her ready for the upcoming season. I should have her in Montauk shortly.   Good evening Anglers, The warmer weather is starting to show it self. The Misty Dawn II is unrapped and we are in the process of getting her ready for the upcoming season. This is an update as to what dates are still open for June and the first half of July. I do plan on running a few trips in late May, early june for Striped Bass, Jumbo Porgies and Fluke. Greetings anglers, The season is approaching fast and, with warmer weather on the horizon, prime dates will start to fill up! As of right now I have a few dates open at the end of June and beginning of July. Full days will be split Striper fishing with Fluke, Sea Bass, and Porgies. Nights will be drifting live baits for Striped Bass. Thursday 6/28 day and night open Friday 6/29 (DAY IS BOOKED) live bait evening/ night open Saturday June 30 day and evening open (excellent night tide) Sunday July 1 day and evening/ night (excellent night tide) Times will vary for these trips based on tide. Good morning anglers! If you weren’t aware, the DEC is looking to make even more cuts to the 2018 Black Sea Bass fishery. This includes not only bag limits but the length of the season as well.  Numerous recreational and commercial fishing captains from Long Island will tell you the fishery is not in need of cuts and is in fact thriving.
